Decreasing Strain – the History of the Chelation Therapy
The “free radicals” in the body are caught by the chelation therapy. “Free radicals” is the scientific term for aggressive substances which develop when oxygen meets for example heavy metals in our body. Chelation absorbs these substances and makes them leave the body so they cannot do any more damage. The chelation therapy, a kind of wellness retreat, is generally used to treat reduced blood flow through the vessels, and is even more effective in form of a preventive therapy. Through its application it is possible to help prevent severe late effects of arteriosclerosis.
This wellness therapy was developed in the 1930s to heal strong heavy metal load. Doctors believed that chelation changed the metabolism of calcium by removing surplus calcium from the vessels and from the body. In this way plaques in arteries are removed and a normal blood flow is possible. These ideas are only partly correct. It is more important to say that chelation attracts the metals iron and copper, furthermore the toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium which are potential catalysators for surplus free radicals. Today we know that free radicals are also responsible for the development of diseases of old age such as cancer, senile dementia, arthritis or arteriosclerosis.
An unbalanced life-style leads to the development of free radicals. Unhealthy nutrition, food- additives, preservatives, pollutants, smoking, stress, too much sugar in food and drinks and some ingredients of medicament's lead to the development of aggressive substances which damage the body in the long run. The chelation therapy helps the body to regenerate itself. This wellness therapy also prevents calcination especially in the case of hereditary calcination.
The Principle of the Efficiency of this Therapy
Chelation is injected intravenously. It absorbs the metals in the body which can be eliminated by the kidneys and so pass out of the body. Sediments which are developed in the food by metals such as lead, mercury copper, iron, arsenic, aluminum, calcium etc. are also removed. Chelation prevents the further production of free radicals in the body by absorbing metallic catalysators and making them pass. These catalysators are stored especially in the bodies of elderly people and accelerate the process of aging. This wellness therapy has extraordinarily improved the state of health of various patients. Psendoangina attacks (heart attacks) were reduced or disappeared completely. Pains in the chest got weaker, ulcers on the low legs disappeared, diabetic Gangrene on the feet healed. In the case of arterial obstruction disease and its can take longer walks that is the symptoms of that disease were reduced. An extensive study shows that the symptoms of hypo-perfusion of 75% of the patients could be improved with chelation therapy.
In general chelation is used as a wellness therapy of extensive arterial disturbances of the blood flow. It is most efficient as a measure of prevention. The chelation therapy makes it possible to influence the serious consequences of arteriosclerosis. We know from experience that already 20 year olds may suffer from arteriosclerosis. For this reason prevention is better than treatment so that serious changes which are caused by arteriosclerosis can be cured.
The Therapy
Before we carry out the chelation therapy it is necessary to thoroughly examine the patients as we must find out the blood flow rate. It is necessary to write an ECG (electrocardiogram) and in some cases a Dopplerultrasonography. So we can measure the blood-flow in the legs and in the arms. Furthermore a full blood-count is necessary. This wellness therapy consists of intravenous infusions which are infused on consecutive days. To begin with the patient should have twelve infusions. We recommend that patients should have a break of 2 to 3 months after the first course of treatment. 12 more infusions should be infused in a second course of treatment. The infusion takes about 3 hours.
Possible Side-effects
The chelation therapy may cause shivering which can last up to 6 to 8 hours after the infusion. Furthermore the patients may complain of slight pain in the heart, burning on the spot of the infusion with an extension into the arms, dizziness, pains in arms and legs and in the back, thirst, loss of weight, tiredness, temporary rise of body temperature, head-pressure, and in rare cases blisters on the upper lip.
Contraindications:
- congestive heart-failure (CHF)
- distinct arrhythunia
- serious dysfunctions of the kidneys and the lungs
- Extended emenrysm state after tuberculosis of the lungs
